Our history

1963

Aerolift brand is launched. Standard lifting solutions for handling concrete and steel sheets dominate.

Collaboration with Demag Cranes & Components on vacuum lifters for paper roll handling has started.

1983

1983

Aerolift Industrials B.V. is founded. Partnership with MHZ Machinery and UBO Engineering has begun.

Aerolift develops a hydrolaulic paper gripper, the first lifting device that does not use vacuum lifting technology.

2008

2011

Hans van den Tol becomes responsible for day–to–day operations at Aerolift Industrials and Tom Zwienenberg — at MHZ Machinery. Aerolift focuses on customised lifting solutions and operates worldwide in many markets.

Establishment of Aerolift Sales Asia (ASA), based in Hong Kong making the first step to Asia.

2012

2013

Aerolift delivers the world’s largest vacuum lifter for steel plates with a lifting capacity of up to 85 tons.

Beijing Aerolift Sales — BAS Co. Ltd — is founded by Frans Heilmann with an office in Shenyang.
BAS is responsible for sales, production & service in Asia. Engineering and complex machinery continue to be delivered from the Netherlands.

2017

2018

Aerolift expands its range of lifting solutions that do not use vacuum technology to meet diverse customer needs. These include pipe spreaders, clamps, and tilting tables.

Robert Lemm succeeds Hans van den Tol and becomes responsible for day-to-day operations at Aerolift Industrials.

2021

2023

Aerolift, in collaboration with ­Automooring Solutions, supplies the world’s first ship-to-ship vacuum mooring system.

Expansion of the production ­facility in the Netherlands to meet our manufacturing needs.

2024

2025

Niconlift B.V. is founded as a sister company to Aerolift Industrials and MHZ, extending our activities into the exceptional transport sector.
